Rob Lovering (Ph.D.) is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Philosophy Department at CUNY - College of Staten Island. His philosophical interests include ethics, applied ethics, bioethics, and the philosophy of religion. He has published five books—four monographs, one edited volume—with leading academic publishers (Palgrave Macmillan and Bloomsbury Academic). He has also published numerous articles in a wide variety of academic journals, including the Bioethics, Sophia, and Religious Studies. Professor Lovering has taught thousands of students over his career. Though the vast majority of them have been college students, he has also taught high schoolers (through Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth), graduate students, elderly adults (through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), and many others. He lives with his wife and kids in New York City.
